My mom and I went to the Rockin Rolliewoods and they dedicated the show to Thomas and his family . It was a great show with great musics for Thomas! It was really touching that we got to be part of that night. We will keep his family in our prayers. Rest easy Thomas.

Matt was fun to play music with in our basement. He is in a few videos on porkchopdick on YouTube. He was always a nice guy and never had a bad word about anyone. Natalie reconnected with him recently and I feel bad he passed at such a young age.

I have felt heartbroken since I heard the news from Ana. My twin brother Nick and I were the best of friends with Thomas for many years in high school. We both got into a habit of calling him Matt. Matt had the sweetest most gentle soul. He always had people’s best interest in mind. Besides seeing him every day at school, we saw him every morning after walking several blocks to our house, then 4 more blocks to the bus stop. He would take the bus home with us every day and hang out at the house after school before walking home. We rode the bus almost every day together for years. He was always playing music at the house with Nick, my dad, and sometimes me. He was there when we needed someone to play piano with the three of us at church. He was there when I needed someone last minute to play guitar with me for my solo at the Landmark Center. He was such a caring, kind, and devoted friend. He would have done just about anything for us even at his young age. I watched his talent in music grow so much over the years, I can’t imagine how incredible he must have gotten in recent years. We did everything together and it pains me that we faded apart after high school. Luckily for me, in some form of fate or destiny, not even two weeks before his passing I ran into him at the state fair! I was able to see Matt one last time and express my love for him after all the years apart. I am truly grateful for that. (Grandma Lori I really wanted to say hi to you too but he told me you were across a sea of people) I just wanted to share how much he meant to me. Ana, Joe, Lori, Leighton, etc I am constantly thinking of you and I am so so sorry this has happened. Matt will always have a place in my heart.

I never had the privilege of meeting Thomas, but I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Joe. Thomas sounds like such a wonderful soul, and I hope you are all able to find comfort in your memories of him. My fiancée and I are attending a concert early next week as part of our honeymoon, and we will be keeping Thomas, Joe, and your entire family in our hearts and thoughts.

This is KT. I dated Thomas for 3 whole years in high school!! He was such a fixture in my life. The first person I ever truly loved that way. My heart is absolutely broken, but I am incredibly grateful for the time we got to spend together and all he taught me. He helped me write a VIAL song! On our song Thumb, he helped me write the chords and structure. So a piece of him will always live on through the guitar as I play that song on stage. I love you so much Thomas!!
